About Jill Hughes

Jill is a mother, advocate, community volunteer, and non-profit executive. Since moving to Bridgeport in 2007, she has been active in the Bridgeport community. Her three children are currently enrolled in Black Rock School. She is an actively involved parent; serving on the PAC, School Leadership Team, Black Rock Families for Excellence, Black Rock NRZ Creative Arts Committee, Excel Bridgeport, as well as Fundraising Chair for the Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library.


Jill Hughes is a Democrat and strongly believes that ALL residents have a voice and must use their vote to speak their mind.

Jill is the Executive Director for the Connecticut Library Consortium, a non-profit organization charged with negotiating discounts for libraries and other regional based projects to coordinate resource sharing among 800 libraries in Connecticut in order to better serve their users.
